The IRS Issues the Ten Commandments of Petro-ideology – Part III
International Re-Rooters Society (IRS) President Jay Critchley issued his annual Ten Commandments at the 20th Annual Re-Rooters Day Ceremony on January 7 in Provincetown Harbor, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The theme for this year’s ritual, which includes the burning of a tree/boat on the water at sunset with discarded items from participants’ lives, is “Personal Umbrella Handlers.” This was chanted backwards,”lanosreP allerbmU sreldnaH.”
And Our Lord appeared to Moses in the form of a Burning Bush and gave him… The Ten Commandments of Petro-Ideology-Part III
1. Oil is the Lord thy God and looting is thy credo;
(Chant after each commandment: LANOSREP ALLERBMU SRELDNAH)
2. Thou shalt not oppose simulsequel wars;
3. Thou shalt not question daddy’s war in vain;
4. Remember thou keep holy the Birth of Crude;
5. Honor thy father and thy mother: Lube & Job;
6. Thou shalt not murder-but oil spills, boutique weapons branded Under God, unilateral elimidating, and barrels of laughs are OK;
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery-unless someone fucks with your pipeline dreams, extreme stock options, balance balls, or your dipstick;
8. Thou shalt not steal-except by greasing the frugal elite, lymposucking the earth, drilling into our predictive intelligence, and lubricating rogue states;
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against cost avoidance-beware of false prophets who seek chat room contactees, Drive While Yackking, wear male pantyhose, and discard their plastic dildos;
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods-unless you are a charismatic CEO, cloned ratbot, wrinkle reduction New Normal, have a personal umbrella handler, or use antimicrobial hand cream.

Hi. I am doing three performances of my new play, Family Establishment. I am really happy about the amazing actors working on this show, and would love to have you come check it out, and let me know what you think, because I plan to keep working on it this summer. One cool thing is that it’s performed site-specifically at a bar, so there’s none of that annoying “where should we go for drinks” after the show.
Highlights include: a lawyer’s harrowing jelly candy incident, a pen that comes back from the dead, and a juggler trying to hustle tourist traffic in winter, “shivering while his balls come down.” I have a good feeling about this. Aaron

Ricardo will be presenting the concept, cart and game while John discusses the audio score for the game, so come prepared to play!

Peace Can Happen Anywhere, and this Sunday, March 2, it will happen in Union Square from 5 – 5:30 pm near the Gandhi statue in the SW corner. Come join us for a special vigil of ringing and singing in solidarity with THAW – theaters against war – as theaters, artists, directors and playwrights all over the city will be presenting performances, giviing readings, speaking and demonstrating against the proposed war against Iraq and its peoples and for a peaceful solution to world conflict. PCHA and Voicelab are collecting for the vigil at Union Square and then processing through the East Village to 5 C Cafe at 5th St. and Ave. C for an evening of performances that will feature Lynn Book and Vox Risk Holler from 7 – 8 pm and others till 9. We are asking for a $5 contribution that will be donated to WBAI radio, community sponsored media for peace and justice.
