1. Nyugen Smith, FF Alumn, at The Armory Show, Manhattan, Sept. 8-11

September 8th opening. Just about one month before my NYC solo debut, Bundlehouse: Just When You Thought It Was Safe, opens at @sean.horton. presents 515 W.20th St, NYC! At the same time, (September 9-11) I’m presenting a grouping of eight Bundlehouse sculptures at the Armory Show @thearmoryshow as part of Platform, a section of the fair curated by Tobias Ostrander, Estrellita B. Brodsky Adjunct Curator, Latin American Art at Tate. I am incredibly excited to share these new works with the world and to be a part of the fall line-up of amazing exhibitions and special projects! Thank you Sean and Tobias for believing in my work and my contribution to what it means to be an artist in this time. I have more exciting announcements to make in the coming weeks. Thank you to those who checked in on me since I’ve been relatively quiet here over the last 1.5 months. …been working and practicing some self-preservation.

Kenneth King, FF Member – New Movie “STRUNG-OUT NEWSCASTERS” on YouTube

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWipAhz4YqM

Just in time for the National Hysteria — featuring dueling newscasters Chris Wallop for Cable News WCBD, New York and Basil Wraithbone for the BBC, London with the Final News Update (12+ minutes). When it was performed live the New York Times wrote: “‘Strung-Out Newscasters’…was a verbal tour de force. ‘Saturday Night Live’ was never like this.” Now, using digital tools that enable image production and editing that would have been not only impossible but cost-prohibitive on stage, it’s been reincarnated as a movie.
