The first retrospective solo exhibition in an Italian institution by artist, writer and thinker Andrea Fraser (USA, 1965) – among the most radical interpreters of Institutional Critique – focuses on the figure of the collector and the activity of collecting, understood as an expression of taste, desire, categorization, exclusivity, exercise and form of power. In her works, Fraser analyzes the interconnections and stratifications between artistic research, institutional, financial and political dimensions, configuring the exhibition as opportunity to re-imagine functions and narratives, structures and relations of and within the art system.
With the support of Marian Goodman Gallery, New York-Paris-Los Angeles and Galerie Nagel Draxler, Berlin-Cologne-Munich.
Main sponsors Autonomous Province South Tyrol and Volksbank.
Thanks to Marx GmbH. Technical sponsors Barth and Baustudio.
