Supporting Franklin Furnace is supporting avant-garde artists and their work. Franklin Furnace provides a platform for work that is underrepresented in art archives due to institutional neglect, cultural bias, their ephemeral nature, politically unpopular content, and the marginalized nature of its forms and many of its artists. We support these artists by giving them a platform on which their work is preserved and can be publicly viewed and disseminated, by defending their right to produce such work and advocating on its behalf, by offering monetary support in the form of grants for early-career performance artists, and by fostering community connections through events and exhibitions.
