"Nabbuzana" is an exploration into the depths of African traditional rituals, particularly the hwambula ritual in Uganda, which seeks to liberate spirits ensnared by human constraints.

This event is presented in collaboration with Oakwood Arts/OAJet Productions.

December 10, 2024, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. ET at the Pratt Institute Library, Alumni Reading Room. We celebrated this year's 15 grant recipients from three categories: FUND, XENO Prize, and Jacki Apple Award.

September 18th, 6pm ET. "Breaking the Code" explored the life and career of Vernon Fisher, featuring interviews with Dave Hickey and Frances Colpitt, the film, winner of "Best Historical Film" at the 2023 Dallas International Film Festival.

June 12, 2024, 6:00-8:00pm ET: Hosted in person by Printed Matter (231 11th Ave, NYC) and streamed online via the Franklin Furnace LOFT, the event marked the U.S.-American launch of An Anarchitectural Body of Work: Suzanne Harris and the Downtown New York Artists Community of the 1970s by Friederike Schaefer, the first book published about the life and work of this groundbreaking yet historically overlooked artist.

May 20, 2024, 6-7pm ET: This live presentation with Paco Cao in conversation with Pablo Helguera and the public focused on the creation and development of the Museum Beauty Contest project organized by La Galleria Nazionale di Roma between 2016 and 2017.
