Elly Clarke

Galinsky was the artist who got Franklin Furance involved with Pseudo Studios. This is his modem that was one of those used for the Franklin Furnace Future of the Present Netcasts – among other things.

Franklin Furnace Mousemat

2005-6, round mousemat
Dolores Zorregueita

Mousemat designed for the Franklin Furnace Membership Campaign, 2005-6 by artist Dolores Zorregueita. In Harley Spiller’s words, ‘We wanted to issue mousepads as perquisites of membership and Dolores, program manager at the time, had an idea and asked if anyone had a rotary phone. i had just bought one at a yard sale for a quarter and brought it in the next day. It is the ivory colored one i left on your desk last week. She was on the phone and i got the spray cleaner and started wiping it and she SCREAMED STOP as she wanted the yellowed old coloration to “prove” visually that it is very old tech. I stopped and she took the phone and somehow turned the ivory into pink and added www.franklinfurnace.org where the phone number would usually have gone.’ (HS, Jan 17th, 2023).
