DRAG KING WORKSHOP -- LAST CHANCE IN THE YEAR 2000!!!!!
This is a ten-hour transformation workshop for women only, in which you take on the identity of a man and live as a man for one day and one night. You decide who you want to be, and bring his clothes with you. In the workshop, you will get a total make-over (including facial hair, five o'clock shadow, the works) and then a training in how to be your alter-ego man - how to walk, sit, drink a brew, dance, talk, shoot pool, (whatever it is he does) as a man. Then we will go out and explore New York City in our new-found identities......
What people have said about the workshop:
"Within the space of a half hour, we had all become absorbed by the spectacle of our own transformation, gleefully tightening each other's breast bandages, pinning dick-sized stuffing in our Y-fronts and generally strutting around."
"Male impersonation forces us to rethink everything we've ever learnt, which means curtailing casual touching and the impulse to put people at ease for starters!"
"No man's goanna make a fool out of me...unless of course it IS me."
Workshop is led by performance artist, Diane Torr (a.k.a. Danny King), who's been teaching this workshop around the globe for over 10 years.
