VISITING DIRECTIONS

Located near downtown Brooklyn, not far from the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Franklin Furnace is accessible through several modes of transportation. Chief among them are subway, rail, bus, and car.

(When you see the clocktower in the former Williamsburgh Savings Bank, tallest building in Brooklyn, you are close to Franklin Furnace – we are both on Hanson Place.)

BY SUBWAY
Several lines run to the area near Franklin Furnace:
The 2, 3, 4, 5, B, and Q stop at Atlantic Avenue.
The D, M, N, and R stop at Pacific Avenue.
The C stops at Lafayette Avenue.
The G stops at Fulton Street.

Atlantic or Pacific Avenue
Exit to street. Look for the tall clock tower. The tower stands at the corner of Hanson and Ashland Place. Walk up Hanson. We are number 80, on the right. Take the elevator to the third floor.
Lafayette Avenue
Exit at Hanson and S. Oxford Street. Walk one block down Hanson (away from Fulton). We are on your left, number 80, third floor.
Fulton Street
Exit to the intersection of Fulton and Lafayette Street. A small park sits at one corner of this intersection. Walk one block up Fulton, in the direction opposite the park. Turn right on S. Portland. Walk one block down S. Portland to where it meets Hanson Place. Franklin Furnace is on the opposite corner, number 80 on Hanson Place. We are on the third floor.

BY RAIL
The LIRR runs to Flatbush Avenue (the Atlantic Avenue subway stop). See directions for Atlantic Avenue subway above.

BY BUS
Several busses run to the area, including the B41, B45, B63, B65, B67, B25, B26, B38, and B52.

BY CAR
From the Brooklyn Bridge
Once off the bridge, turn left onto Tillary Street. Follow Tillary until Flatbush Avenue. Turn right on Flatbush. When you reach the clock tower, turn left on Hanson Place. We are number 80, a few blocks up on the right.
From the Manhattan Bridge
Continue off the bridge and straight onto Flatbush Avenue. When you reach the clock tower, turn left on Hanson Place. We are number 80, a few blocks up on the right.
From Queens
Take the BQE to exit 29, Tillary Street in Brooklyn. Drive two blocks on Tillary, then turn left on Flatbush Avenue. Going along Flatbush, you will soon see a clock tower. When you reach the tower, turn left on Hanson Place. We are number 80 on the right.
From New Jersey and Staten Island
Take the Verrazano Bridge to I-278, the East/Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. Get off at exit 27, Atlantic Avenue. Drive east on Atlantic Avenue for about 1 mile, then turn left onto Bond Street. Continue on Bond Street for two blocks, then turn right onto Schermerhorn Street. After another two blocks, turn right onto Flatbush. One block later, turn left on Hanson. We are building number 80 on the right.
